Why have Certified Personnel at Your Workplace?

1. THE LAW…Any workplace with 20 or more workers is required to have a functioning safety committee. That committee is required to have a minimum of two WSIB Certified Members... One appointed by Management and one elected Worker Member.

2. BEST PRACTICE… Certification of all Managers and Supervisors is a best practice. The Law requires that Managers and Supervisors are competent in Health & Safety. Managers and Supervisors who complete WSIB's Certification are able to demonstrate competence in Health & Safety.
